Checkering typical of Stevens model 49, 50, 51 and 52 rifles. Point-pattern on the grip and forearm, 22 lines per inch. If the forearm has a palm rest, the checkering will outline the palm rest base. Checkering must be done after the wood is finished. Pricing is the same whether it is a new rifle or an original stock. We typically finish checkering with one or two coats of oil, but Stevens would often stain the checkering dark and we can do this on request.
